Cetana Educational Foundation hosts events in the United Sates designed to promote the general work of Cetana and to raise funds for the Scholarship Program. They are announced through mailings and in the web site well ahead of the events and we invite all of our friends to participate.
April, 2006, a symposium on the Arts of Burma took place in Princeton , New Jersey. The program included the following presentations:

* The Preservation and Protection of Burmese Buddhist Art (Catherine Raymond)

* Myanmar Art, The Next Big Thing? (Gill Pattison)
October, 2004: The Foundation celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special event: "A Burmese Festival," which included a talk by David I. Steinberg and a Burmese supper and dance demonstration.
April, 2002: Alan Rabinowitz, wildlife explorer-conservationist and Director of the Science and Exploration Program of the Wildlife Conservation Society at the Bronx Zoo, spoke about his 10-year quest to gain government support for exploration and preservation of wildlife discoveries in Myanmar territory and his ensuing adventures in a northernmost corner of Myanmar. He also signed copies of his book, "Beyond the Last Village, A Journey of Discovery in Asia's Forbidden Wilderness." The evening also included photo displays, handicrafts and a buffet dinner.
Cetana has also funded and organized meetings and workshops for educators in Myanmar.
