Cetana Goes Green

Cetana would like to convert as much of our correspondence and printed materials as possible to email.  This will save both natural resources and the considerable costs for printing and mailing.  In turn, this will enable us to use an even greater portion of our funds for the mission of the organization. Would all of those on our mailing list as well as new friends please send their email addresses to:  tinmaythein@cetana.org

If you prefer to receive postal mail please send your address to us.

A Burmese Evening - Introducing Cetana to the D.C. area

Special Events >>

Cetana Educational Foundation hosts events in the United Sates designed to promote the general work of Cetana and to raise funds for the organization, in particular the Scholarship Program.  An added value is that they provide exposure to Burmese culture and history. They range from gala evenings with Burmese music and art to small dinners and parties organized by individuals.  Anyone who is interested in hosting an event, especially an individual is invited to be in touch with the Executive Director.

The programs are announced through mailings and in the web site well ahead of the events and we invite all of our friends to participate.  We especially value your letting others  know about them and encouraging them to attend.

Funding >>

The funding of Cetana  comes primarily from individual contributions.  Go to the contribution page to find out how you can support our work.

Cetana Executive Director, Judy Ko spoke about the work of the organization and there was a talk by a Cetana Scholar studying in Boston about the Scholarship Program, its profound effect on her life and its benefits for the people of Myanmar/Burma.

Jean Dickason, a founder and the past president of Cetana was honored during a Burmese Evening  on the occasion of her leaving her long time home in East Chatham, New York to live in  Princeton, New Jersey.  The event, a very  successful benefit for Cetana, was at the home of Board member Sumaya Conners. It featured Burmese dance, food

and a Burmese bazaar.
